I am from the American southland. I am well travelled (North America, Asia, Central America, Australia,and Caribbean) and I enjoy life. Not a wild eyed and crazy dude, but definately worldly...comfortable sipping coffee in a sidewalk cafe in Cartagena, Colombia or drinking beer in a pub in Raymond Terrace, Australia. I can ask for my change in Thai and Tagalog and I can request a fork in Japanese. I can tell you to piss off in both the Aussie and British dialects. I'm worldly, I tell ya. I am married to a diva from Bangkok, with my homelife being something akin to a live-in maid with football watching priveliges. Usually.

Yeah, I sorta figured that was coming up, but thought it'd be sumtin' like this. That was cool seeing a pic of one being admired before being consumed.
Myself and the wife we like just the plain ol' vanilla pies. Tried banana once, but didn't care for it at all.
That banana comment was laying back there twixt a couple of the braincells when I finally remembered why.
You probably learned this while in the service, but if not, then here's a banana factoid you can't live without - The original Twinkie was banana flavored. Yes, banana flavored. But WWII came along and the manfacturer couldn't get banana oil for the flavoring and switched to vanilla flavor and it proved more popular than banana flavor ever was so they just stuck with it.
I didn't know that. And what I didn't say before is that the banana moon pies are my favorite. That's true in anything, just about. Banana flavor = good eating.
Gotta agree to a degree (hey, that rhymes!). From the GunTrash household perspective:
Bananas = good eating
Things that are supposed to taste like bananas, but don't contain any "real" bananas, but do contain the oil of banana = not so good eating.
But, of course, that's what makes this such a great country. The consumer has many, many choices. Not like, say, the old Soviet Union. You got only one choice and that's it, e.g., borscht-flavored Twinkies or vodka laced Moon Pies.... which actually could be a big seller, come to think of it.
